Slats
One or more slats can be connected directly to a module. A slat does not increase the total number of unique cues on a module, but rather they fire at the same time thereby allowing you to fire multiple positions at the same time.
A slat is not required to fire multiple positions at the same time as modules can be fired simultaneously either by setting them to the same channel, or by scripting them to fire at the same time. Instead, slats can, in some cases, be a more cost effective way to fire multiple positions at the same time.
Slats can also be used to pre-wire your effects and allow you to connect to your module during the day of your show.
18S Mini Slats
The mini-slats are a lower cost, compact profile option. While smaller, the mini-slats still boast a larger speaker terminal than the 18M firing module.
36S Regular Sized
The regular sized 36S slats boast the largest size profile and cue strips. In addition, the parallel versions contain three connectors vs. two connectors compared to the mini-slats.
