The 18R2 LiPo Upgrade Kit is currently unavailable as we are in the process of redesigning the product to address a recently identified issue. The redesigned version will enhance reliability while maintaining its intended functionality.

Our goal is to have these replacements delivered prior to the July 4th season; however, this may extend further based on testing to ensure we have 100% confidence in the new hardware release. We will notify customers when it becomes available again.


The 18R2 LiPo Upgrade Kit is used to upgrade an 18R2 to include the LiPo recharge function and external power input.

The built-in 2,000 mAh LiPo battery improves the life of the 18R2 from around 8 (AA) to 20 hours (LiPo).

The AA batteries function as a real-time backup and will seamlessly take over with no functional interruption if any power is lost from the LiPo battery.

The charger both powers and charges the remote at the same time. You can leave the charger plugged in during a show to ensure constant full power. The charger is the same as our module charger.

The upgrade process is performed with only a screwdriver; Unscrew four screws to open the 18R2, connect the upgrade kit, add and connect the battery, and reassemble.

The 18R2 LiPo Upgrade Kit works on any firmware version, no firmware upgrades or calibrations are required.
